Medical Device Packaging
Printers and Coding for Medical Device Products and Packaging
In the highly regulated Medical Device industry, manufacturers need to comply with specific regulatory requirements in each market where the device is sold. Advances in medical technology lead to innovative products and packaging; your medical device labeling and medical device coding printers need to adapt to keep pace.
Greydon designs, manufactures and integrates custom printing systems for medical packaging with efficient, reliable performance. Greydon printers are engineered to integrate with your horizontal form, fill and seal packaging equipment and can print the complete package – eliminating the need for pre-printed films in many cases.

UDI Compliance
Greydon printers are ideal for getting into compliance with the FDA's UDI rules. We have a lot of experience in helping customers print the correctly formatted UDI barcodes onto their packages.
Flexo Printing
Greydon's flexo printers produce excellent print quality, along with the lowest possible cost per print. Using water-based inks, the MicroMax and BlackMax printers can print in one or two colors.
Print all required text, graphics and barcodes onto medical device packaging right at the time of packaging with our Flexographic printing systems.
- Reduce inventory of costly pre-printed materials.
- Available in one or two colors.
- Print in-line with the material feed or across the web.
- Print variable data, such as date or lot codes, or UDI barcodes, onto packaging by adding a Genesis, thermal transfer or inkjet printer.

Digital Printing
Genesis is Greydon's digital printer for the medical device industry. It is able to print variable data (date, lot and other text, along with graphics and UDI barcodes) onto films, foils and Tyvek, in real-time, without the need for printing plates.
Genesis is available in versions for single color, two-color or full CMYK printing and can be integrated into any horizontal packaging machine.
